A Letter To My Dog

A letter to my dog. Have you written a letter to your dog?

Dear Cozy Dog

(Writing a letter to my dog is therapeutic. Something I would encourage all dog lovers to experience.)

Sorry, I ran out the door this morning in a hurry.   Oh Cozy, I know you wanted more time for belly rubs and head scratches. It will happen, I won’t be gone long.

In all fairness, you get a great number of love gestures,

but your appetite for affection seems to leave you wanting more.  I asked the vet, if this was normal, he said if I wasn’t covered in dog hair then I wasn’t doing my best job.

Sweet Cozy dog when I get home this

afternoon let us head to the backyard with Louie.  I will let you pick fetch or tug with your favorite toys and I promise we will play as long as your want.  Remember, just because you’re faster than Louie, he is still bigger and is always up for some rough and tumble play.

This afternoon, I’m picking up new snacks at the store,

I saw a new dog treat made from high-quality chicken that I think you’ll like.  The vet says your weight is exactly where it should be and we just need to focus on staying healthy.  As for Louie, he gets a low-calorie dog treat.  Helping him drop a few pounds is going to be tough on all of us.  It’s common for older dogs to gain a few pounds.

Cozy dog I’m concluding this letter,

if the backyard doesn’t wear you out we can go on a dog walk.  The weather looks perfect and I am really want to try out my new sneakers.  BTW, keep an eye on Louie today, he seems a little salty after he lost the argument with the cat.  What can I say, the cat is very ‘purrr’suasive.

I can’t wait to get home tonight to play.

Enjoy your day.
